Zotzilaha Chimalman
(Zotz)
   Bat god of the Mayas who is probably the same as Camazotz mentioned in the Popul Vuh of the Quiche Creation Legend. The fear of bats manifested in the myths of the Central American races may be linked with the time when they were residing in caves such as those mentioned in the Aztec and Quiche Creation Legends and Nina Stahu, the Cave of Refuge of the Black-foot Indians.
